Dubai: From Blossom to Mojo Jojo

Part 2 of 5
DXB Adventures
#OhanaUAEedition

The opportunity to tour Dubai’s attractions was definitely unexpected. I have never imagined I can do that in a span of 3 to 5 days.

I “piggybacked’ with my in-laws who traveled from Kuwait to Dubai for the Dubai Shopping Festival and a side of business. At the same time, it was a special gift from Ate Mack, my sister-in-law, to the kiddos from Kuwait.

It was definitely a family reunion in the UAE. Thus, the hashtag #OhanaUAEedition. We were still waiting for my husband’s visa at this time though, so I was kind of his representative. Hehe! 😢😆

Ate Mack has special planning skills. Imagine itineraries in excel sheet, agency connections, scheduled car rentals and set hotel bookings. She’s the master of that. Plus, we were so lucky to have Yeti, the love of her life (awts!), on board. She grew up in the Emirates, so driving around the complicated roads and highways of Dubai was easy.

Now, off we go to our first stop.

  • It was awarded by the Guinness World Records as the largest vertical garden in March 2013.

Here are a few colorful shots of the place.

IMG Worlds of Adventure

It seems that Dubai is not stopping on the superlatives.

Enter the world’s largest indoor theme park – IMG Worlds of Adventure.

And yes, WORLDS.

Located in the City of Arabia, IMG Worlds of Adventure boasts four epic zones – Marvel, Cartoon Network, Lost Valley and IMG Boulevard

It opens daily from 11 am to 9 pm, but opens up until 10 pm on the weekends (Thursday to Saturday). Tickets range from AED 100 to AED 300.

From time to time, they do promos on the ticket prices. We got ours via a credit card promo, so we only paid half the price. Wuhoo!

This stop was definitely for the kids. As I was also on #TitaDuties for two boys and the other titas and titos were afraid of heights, I played bait on their ride choices. 😏 Haha!

The zones have different types of rides and activities, which include 3D to 5D simulations, mini and mega roller coasters, the haunted hotel (this was not included in our package) and the more tolerable ones.

Overall, we did most of the visual simulations and yes, the extreme rides in the Marvel and Cartoon Network zones. After our second round and last ride (Thank God!) at Mojo Jojo’s Robot Rampage, I gave up! My gut definitely felt Mojo Jojo’s rampage. 👾😰

If you’re a marvel geek and a thrill-seeker, definitely go here. Here are few of my recommendations based on the rides that we had.

For those who want to scream, try Spider-Man Doc Ock’s Revenge, Thor Thunder Spin and The Powerpuff Girls – Mojo Jojo’s Robot Rampage

If you are into visuals, try Avengers Battle of Ultron, Hulk Episode Base 3D, Avenger’s Flight of the Quinjets, Forbidden Territory and Ben 10 5D Hero Time. Here are a few shots that I got from the place. 📷

Dubuhbye for now! 🙈 See you on part 3! ✌👀
